It's been a super frustrating winter for us so far, with either no snow, strong winds or no snow and strong winds! But today we broke that duck as the stars aligned!
Today I was out with Andy who very soon will be heading off on a trek across the Sierras which will take him about 6 months. At times he will be walking above the snowline and so he wanted to equip himself with some knowledge and skills.
Our journey today saw us ascend and descend Swirral Edge whilst working on crampon technique and ice axe useage, and then some ice axe arrest practice near Red Tarn.
A fab day to be out, just a shame Storm Dennis is coming to ruin the fun!
