England hosts 4 mountains which stand over 3000ft, all of which are in the Lake District. Naturally this led to a walking challenge being created, a challenge to walk between the 4 peaks in one go. Starting and finishing in Keswick the route starts up Skiddaw (931m) and then heads down the Borrowdale valley to tick off Scafell (964m) and Scafell Pike (978m). The toughest section of the challenge now ensues as you make your way across to the Helvellyn range. Helvellyn (950m) is the fourth and final peak, after which a final 8 miles brings you to the finish.
This is a mammoth of a challenge, and the hardest walking challenge in England. It is a 45 mile circuit which is undertaken in one attempt, and on top of that to try and do it in under 24 hours! We have vast experience in delivering this challenge to groups of all sizes, and one common theme is that the fitter you are the more chance you have of completing the task at hand. As well as providing first class leaders, we also provide first class support as that is vital to the completion. The support vehicle is met three times, at which clothes can be changed and warm food and drinks will be provided. If you have a fit group looking for something to really challenge them, and the above challenges just don't cut it then maybe the Lakeland 3000's in 24 Hours will be for you?
