0830 Meet at Lake Head National Trust Car Park, Wasdale
Come and climb to the summit of Scafell Pike from Wasdale. This is often regarded as the easiest route up Scafell Pike, but the shorter path to the summit does mean there is a steeper, and more sustained gradient! We will most likely take the Brown Tongue path to the summit. From the summit, we have a number of options to descend, some of which to avoid the masses walking on the tourist paths. I'm sure with our guide we can show you some of the quieter sides of Scafell Pike, even when ascending from the busiest start point.
This is a fully guided experience, led by a professionally qualified and first aid trained leader. The group will be a maximum of 10 people. The walk lasts in the region of 5-6 hours. You do need to have basic fitness to attend, but extensive hillwalking experience is not necessary.
Please note, Wasdale often takes a little longer to get to then Google Maps will let on. Please allow plenty of time to arrive at the meet location in good time.
We have multiple 'Open Event' dates on throughout 2026 but if you can't make the date we can organise a bespoke experience for you.
