Back home and drying off after a fab Ghyll Scramble up Jack's Rake with Paul today.
Even when soaked and pouring with water, for the right person Jack's Rake is still a doable, and very enjoyable scramble. Paul got in touch with us as he'd considered it on previous outings into the Langdale Pikes but for his first time preferred some assistance from a guide. With an extensive grade 1 scrambling background in England and Wales under his belt he was well suited to giving it a go under such conditions and cruised his way to the top.
Big smiles at the top of the rake were met with 'washing machine' like weather so we made a hasty retreat back to the valley.
