Bucket list ticking for the Bax Family today - 11 and 13 year olds Abi and Ellie wanted to do a hike this summer holidays, and Scafell Pike from Wasdale was the plan!
LMG Carol was in the guiding seat and here's what she had to say about her day.
'What a superb day with Martin. Sarah, Abi and Ellie! As they were competent walkers, we took the more adventurous Mickledore scramble to the summit with tremendous views improved throughout the day. Quieter routes meant that we virtually had Scafell Pike to ourselves. Just a gorgeous family to spend the day with! Smiles all round....'
Great work all!

What a beautiful and inspiring walk! Scafell Pike looks like an amazing destination for families who love nature and adventure. Your guide is really helpful for planning the trip. I also enjoy discovering travel and lifestyle ideas here: essentialsclothingltd
I really liked how the article detailed the route from Wasdale up to Scafell Pike, especially the way it emphasized pacing for families and taking breaks at key points. It made me wonder how different age groups handle the same hike and whether preparation plays a bigger role than sheer fitness. I also found myself thinking about how having a structured plan or some guidance—almost like how a Healthcare Assignment Helper UK supports students in organizing complex tasks—can make challenging experiences feel more manageable and enjoyable. Do you think families find the summit more rewarding when they follow a suggested path versus exploring on their own?
