Our final trip up Scafell Pike for 2017 and it was so close to being the most epic (epicest??). With the cloud down at the start of the day but fragmenting there was some hope, and then as we neared the summit of Scafell Pike there was an inversion forming, with the summits of Great Gable and Blencathra clearly poking through. Unfortunately the mist swamped us again on the top and we didn't see another view until we saw the pub at the end! Was great to come down via Piers Gill though! #LivefortheNow
