Winter Skills Day 2 - Lake District

Back to Helvellyn and thankfully no dramas to report. I can however update you about our fallen skier and tell you that he suffered just a broken wrist and some bruises.

Today was day 2 of 2 for Matt, Jenny, Ed and Tim. Their ambition is to gain the skills to climb Mont Blanc and so it was only fitting that today was a tad more alpine with the sunshine and blue skies making a healthy appearance. We covered taking coils, glacial travel, basic crevasse rescue and of course ice axe arrest.
