A fab day getting our 2019 Nepal expedition team all together for the first time. In November we head to Nepal to trek to Everest Base Camp, and after this will make an attempt to summit the 6,109m peak of Lobuche East.
Our original plan for the weekend was to do some winter skills but as winter has somewhat failed to restart and the winds were fairly strong we opted to use our time wisely in the valley. After an opening chat at the awesome Little Chamonix Cafe we ventured down into Borrowdale. Here we spent a few hours teaching the team how to ascend and descend fixed lines (as we will have to do near the summit) and we then topped this off with a 25m vertical abseil just for fun.
