A super fun day with these 4 chaps from Singapore. They're in the Lakes for a couple of days and a few days ago they got in touch with a request to be led up Helvellyn. As it was their first ever proper hike but they had reasonable fitness our route was to be Swirral Edge to the summit and then down via Keppel Cove. We got lucky with some breaks in the cloud especially as there was hardly a breath of wind all day. The guys were super chuffed with their achievements, especially when they reached the summit after tackling a quite daunting Swirral Edge which was dramatised by the mist. #LivefortheNow
