Scafell Pike & Navigation Walk

Scafell Pike the quiet way! A fab day with Mel today helping her get up her first ever mountain, Scafell Pike. She's on a bit of a tour of the UK and being a Cornish gal means that she's spent more time walking coastal paths than mountain tracks. Keen for an interesting route the obvious choice was the secluded Piers Gill path. This route into Upper Wasdale is always a treat and as we climbed we covered some basics of navigation for Mel to take with her onto the rest of her tour (Ben Nevis next). We of course hit a busier summit and chilled there for a bit as the clouds and crowds came and went. From the summit we descended to Lingmell Col but then cut across to descend via Lingmell Nose. We spent another 10 minutes at the top of the nose in the sun (yes, the sun came out!!!) admiring the views once more. Enjoy the rest of your trip, Mel! #LivefortheNow
