Another brill day running a bespoke Navigation Training day!
Today I was joined by Sue and Ged who were keen to gain some confidence in their ability to read a map and use a compass. After a few mishaps on the fells, and feeling a bit restricted to walks they definitely knew, they thought some tuition was the way forward.
Our venue of choice was Haystacks and the back of Honister which provides some excellent progression at on, and off path navigation. Both soaked up the info really well and by the end of it felt like they'd learnt far more than they thought they would - music to my ears!
