Great Gable Scrambling - Sphinx Ridge

A grand day with returning clients Sue & Celia. This pair love a good scramble and after a fab time up Jack's Rake a few weeks back I said they'd love Sphinx Ridge on Great Gable.

This scramble isn't overly complex scrambling wise but good mountain judgement and movement skills on loose rock are required. The best thing about this is the wild scenery you're scrambling through and above. As we all know, that view back into the Wasdale valley is absolutely stunning.

From the top of Sphinx Ridge we scrambled through Westmorland crags and then enjoyed our walk back to Honister via Green Gable.

Time to find the next challenge for them! #LivefortheNow
