Another day, and another superb winter day up on Helvellyn.
Thankfully overnight temps dropped to provide some firmer snow for today, which gave the group an opportunity to get plenty of time in crampons and time using the ice axe.
Our journey today saw us ascend Swirral Edge to the summit of Helvellyn. From this windy summit we descended Swirral Edge and then took in Catstycam before heading back into the valley.
