The forecast for today was atrocious - heavy rain forecast all day - great!!
Is that what we got? No! 🥳
Thankfully the forecast wasn't quite right today and we even managed to enjoy some t-shirt time as we ascended Helvellyn via Striding Edge.
I was joined by 5 lovely ladies on our Open Event walk, all of which were looking forward to the challenge of the scrambles. Everyone scrambled brilliantly, taking the conditions in their stride. Striding Edge, apart from being a bit damp was super, and I guess thanks to the forecast, pretty quiet too!
We descended via Swirral Edge and took in Catstycam too. Once back in the valley the sun even tried to come out which was nice.
