Out today on the first of our Tier 4, 1 Day, 1:1, winter skills courses. A real pleasure to spend the day with Vicky and introduce her to winter walking. Fair to say her mind was blown! 🤯
She soaked up the info and just wanted more. We ascended Mires Beck which proved to be very icy so we got the crampons on nice and early. It's always great to get the crampons on for a good length of time on these courses so it was ideal. Hellvelyn wasn't dishing out the most alpine of conditions today but it didn't prevent an ascent of Swirral Edge, which again Vicky took in her stride.
We descended into Brown Cove and chatted our way back to Glenridding.
