We've known Charlotte since 2015 and since then we've had loads of adventures together. In 2019 she also joined our @lmgtreksandexpeditions trip to Everest Base Camp and up Lobuche East.
Unfortunately Charlotte didn't make the 6119m summit as the sustained night scrambling that led to high camp (5700m) felt a bit extreme and built up some anxiety. Recently she got in touch in order to start to put some of these demons to bed and prove to herself that she is capable of being in exposed situations, and of course able to move across the terrain.
Today was all about having fun on steep ground and where better than the Via Ferrata Extreme course - which she absolutely cruised! After nattering our way around this we descended into Borrowdale and did a few short rock climbs to not only try something new but to further cement some positive thoughts about being on steep rocks.
