'Joined by ‘Pops’ and dogs Lara and Bruno, a brisk ascent of the Old Man of Coniston was made via Crowberry Haws and Low Water. An eerie silence shrouded the Misty mountain with few other people venturing out. A circular route descending via Goat’s Water took us back to the Walna Scar road. Everyone wet with smiles and squelchy boots, the day finished off with a hot chocolate and happy memories. A superb day with an interesting adventurous family'
