🔺TWO DAY WINTER SKILLS 🔺 A super day with Sam & Laura for day 1 of their 2 day Private Winter Skills course. Once again Helvellyn was our venue of choice as it offers such a good opportunity to introduce crampons and the walking axe on a variety of slopes. Being climbers the pair took the the skills really well. Fortunately for us the mist and cloud all cleared as we made our way up Swirral Edge, offering is a small but perfect window whilst on the summit to enjoy the views. We descended Swirral Edge and then ascended Catstycam. From this summit we took the awesome NE Ridge down into a secluded Brown Cove where we managed to do a bit of sliding.
