A brilliant day hosting our first Blencathra Scrambling Day Open Event.
I was joined by Grace, Richard, William, Suzanne and Denise, all of which had hillwalked but didn't quite have the confidence to tackle the edges for the first time by themselves.
We started the day on Halls Fell Ridge which is our warm up ridge and everyone scrambled well. From the summit we dropped to Scales Tarn and then after getting to the base of Sharp Edge we had a bite to eat and enjoyed the views.
Sharp Edge was quiet, calm and dry which was ideal. Everyone took their time and enjoyed the ridge, topping out with big smiles on their faces.
