Helvellyn by Night for @stmaryshospice delivered in perfect fashion! What a night!
We were tasked with once again getting fundraisers for St Mary's up a mountain at night and last night 6 LMG's got 30 people up Helvellyn across two different routes. One group ascended via Keppel Cove and White Side, and the other via Catstycam and Swirral Edge.
The forecast leading into the evening was saying all sorts from heavy rain through to thunder. In reality we had a warm night with just one shirt drizzle. Luckily for us there was a ribbon of sky on the horizon which allowed us to see a beautiful pink sunrise.
Everyone then descended via Keppel Cove back to Glenridding. For some this was a super tough night, and a few folks pushed their known boundaries for sure too. It's always special to deliver these events, and brilliant to work with St Mary's Hospice yet again.
